As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Assessment in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and community partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government-operated homeless services location.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor, resident, and staff movement.
  • Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
