Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, access points, equipment areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
Maintain required reports and records, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support incident response activities as directed.
