About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Governance in Carson, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, screening visitors, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, shipping and receiving areas, employee entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports related to daily activities, incidents, visitor activity, and security-related observations.
