About The Position

United Security, Inc. is hiring a part-time, per-diem Flex Security Officer in Stamford, Connecticut, at $23.45 per hour. The schedule varies based on operational needs, and the officer must be available to work any shift or days as needed. The position reports to the Manager.

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe environment by monitoring pedestrian traffic, patrolling the premises, staying alert, and using verbal de-escalation when needed. The role also involves documenting incidents in daily reports. Applicants must be able to stand for up to eight hours and communicate in English. A high school diploma or equivalent and a Connecticut security license are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Connecticut security license (CT Guard Card).
• Ability to stand for up to eight hours.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain alert.
• Ability to work in high-pedestrian-traffic environments.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Availability to work any shift or days as needed.

Responsibilities

• Stay alert while on duty.
• Monitor pedestrian traffic entering and leaving the facility.
• Frequently patrol the premises to help maintain the safety of employees, patients, and clients.
• Use oral de-escalation when needed.
• Write daily reports documenting incidents.
