About The Position

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries and works at changing sites, locations, and assignments. The role offers 30–40 hours per week, with a schedule that varies weekly through manager-assigned shifts and shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts may be irregular and assigned with little to no advance notice to support client needs. The position is based in Concord, California, and includes patrol driving. Pay is $25.15 per hour.

The officer conducts security patrols, monitors for safety and security concerns, responds to incidents, controls access, prepares reports, and assists customers, employees, and visitors. The role requires availability for varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and for last-minute scheduling. The position requires a TSA-issued TWIC, reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, the ability to travel required distances, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must meet the stated minimum age for their role and successfully undergo applicable background and drug screening.

Requirements

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Have reliable transportation and the ability to travel required distances.
• Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire departments in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
