Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location as an Access Control Officer in a driving post, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and monitor activity throughout assigned areas. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential checks, and other security-related policies at a utilities location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive screening and documentation practices.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and the perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting maintenance, access, and other security-related concerns.
