About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a State Site in Boston MA. Saturdays 7 AM - 7 PM (With option for more shifts). Starting Pay is $21.50 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training. Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
• This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transportation facilities, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations when needed.
• Respond to incidents, roadway-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities through accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership.
