As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Driver in Pensacola, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Be willing to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be willing to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals when required in a hospital setting.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or access control issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, visitor direction, and orderly movement throughout the location.
  • Assist with de-escalation support, report writing, and other assigned duties that help support daily operations and a professional environment.
