About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Incident Documentation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and contribute to a caring, reliable team culture grounded in integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, entrances, common spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Support a respectful and orderly environment by communicating professionally with diverse populations and following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related policies.
