Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals according to established site procedures.
• Control entry and exit of vehicles and personnel at designated gates, inspect documentation as required, and report access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized activity.
