Security Officer Corporate Building Part Time
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to support a financial institution in a corporate building in Purchase, New York. The officer will help safeguard personnel, visitors, and guests by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access and visitor activity, documenting incidents, and providing professional customer service and communication. The role follows site-specific procedures and access-control requirements and includes responding to incidents, alarms, and critical situations according to site protocols. The position pays $20.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Wednesday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Allied Universal offers access to technology for viewing and claiming additional shifts, paid training, career growth opportunities, a retirement savings plan, and discounts through its Perks Program.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and guests while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and applicable emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Communicate security-related concerns clearly to site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
