About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a manufacturing and industrial location in Muncie, Indiana. The role involves patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, supporting access control, and assisting employees and visitors professionally. The position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and pays $14.46 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; identify unusual activity and report observations.
Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and contractor entry according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
Document patrols, incidents, access-related activity, and other observations in clear and accurate reports.
