As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Patrol in Kutztown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents, access issues, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking areas, warehouse surroundings, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and vehicle traffic while verifying authorized access for deliveries, pickups, and/or visitors in accordance with site instructions.
Support daily operations by observing facility activity, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and assisting with order and organization across the location.
