About The Position

Security Officers will be responsible for the safety and security of our guests and in supporting the Security department. This role involves assisting with activities regarding guest and team member safety, gaming regulations, and company policies and procedures. Officers will help enforce local, state, and federal regulations, write incident reports, and provide guidance to team members and guests. Responsibilities also include handling lost and found items, conducting arrests, investigations, inspections, and interviews as required within the casino environment. The role may require working outdoors in various weather conditions and providing daily protection of company assets. Maintaining open communication with management and a positive, professional demeanor are essential.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must be willing and able to engage in physical activity on all levels up to and including physical confrontations while remaining calm.
  • Able to think creatively and work with supervisors, peers, and other subordinates on a team approach to solve problems which cross departmental boundaries.
  • Skilled in operating a personal computer and related software including Microsoft Office Suite, proprietary programs and any other computer programs or devices as may become necessary.
  • Must provide a DMV printout.
  • Speak, read, and write the English language.
  • Must be flexible and able to work any shift, day off and weekends.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to deal with inebriated customers in a courteous manner.
  • Respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from guests.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.
  • Previous security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with activities regarding guest and team member safety, gaming regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Help enforce local, state, and federal regulations and aid when needed.
  • Write incident reports, ensuring accurate handling of information according to company standards.
  • Provide guidance and direction to team members and guests.
  • Assist guest and team members with their lost and found items.
  • Follow all rules and procedures.
  • Conduct arrests, investigations, inspections, interviews, and other duties as required throughout the casino environment.
  • Work outdoors during inclement weather conditions including but not limited to, shoveling snow, and withstanding hot and or cold conditions.
  • Provide daily protection of company assets.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow team members, and vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
