About The Position

The position of Security Officer ensures the safety of company assets and the welfare of guests and Team Members. This role involves making independent judgments within policy and procedures, providing security protection, and assisting with various operational tasks while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk during shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to push or pull up to 150 pounds.
  • Requires bending, stooping, pushing, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds, and air quality.
  • Must always present a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Always display a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease.
  • Possess effective learning skills.
  • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior security or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of guests and fellow Team Members.
  • Making independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
  • Providing security protection for guests, pavilion, and casino property.
  • Assisting with all monetary transactions between the casino cage, gaming tables, and slots in compliance with ICS and as required by management.
  • Complying with Underage Gaming, Responsible Gaming, and Liquor Control regulations.
  • Assisting injured guests and employees.
  • Being alert and reacting promptly to suspicious persons or disturbing incidents on property.
  • Reacting promptly to disturbances on the footprint of the property as required.
  • Keeping duties discreet and confidential.
  • Driving company vehicle as needed.
  • Meeting attendance guidelines and adhering to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
