About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Savannah, Georgia, you will help safeguard the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors, communicate clearly, and help maintain a welcoming environment. The role pays $19.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The position involves following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities; responding professionally to incidents and alarms; monitoring access points and visitor activity; and preparing reports for Allied Universal leadership and client representatives. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. Applicable state or local licensing requirements may apply.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and report access-control concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
