About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location in Andover, Massachusetts. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel by conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access, and responding professionally to security concerns. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and support for a welcoming and secure environment. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $21.73 per hour. Employees can use the company’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access requirements, and applicable emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of utility operations areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials according to site requirements.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities in clear, accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
