As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government mental health location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least three years of security-related experience, law enforcement experience, military police experience, or military experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a government behavioral health care setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical or behavioral emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor management and directions.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.
