About The Position
Baptist Health is a leading healthcare provider in Northeast Florida, recognized as a top place to work in healthcare. They are seeking a Security Officer to join their Protective Services Department at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. This is a full-time, night position with hours from 6:00 PM to 6:15 AM, requiring rotating weekdays and weekends. The primary role of the Security Officer is to ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties. The team is implementing new technologies like metal detectors to enhance patient safety and experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Driver's License Required
- Level II Background check required as a condition of employment and continued employment.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years Law Enforcement Experience Preferred
- 1-2 years Security Officer Experience Preferred
- 1-2 years Military Experience Preferred
Responsibilities
- Reporting any unusual circumstances, and take appropriate corrective actions
- Insuring the protection of individuals from harm by monitoring for safety hazards
- Providing escort services
- Respond to unsafe situations
- Enforce hospital parking regulations
- Assist individuals with obtaining help for vehicle problems
