As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Concierge in New Castle, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $17.34 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri08:00 AM - 04:45 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals according to site protocols.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, personnel, and/or emergency services as needed.
Support front desk operations by answering phones, assisting employees and visitors with questions, and documenting daily activities, incidents, and/or access-related concerns in required reports.
Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions by maintaining an attentive presence at the reception area and following established post orders and reporting procedures.
