About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, and staff, while protecting community property. This role is also responsible for verifying the scheduled presence of all employees and third-party contractors on the grounds.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid, active driver’s license in good standing with the state
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow instructions carefully and completely

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of one year of security experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Make scheduled rounds inside and outside of the buildings to ensure a secure environment for residents and staff
• Respond promptly to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls
• Complete work in the order of priority set by the supervisor
• Perform light maintenance as time allows, including changing light bulbs, touch-up painting, and similar tasks
• Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper working condition
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
