As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Response in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, suspected theft, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and theft.
Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to site leadership and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
Carry and maintain assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.
