About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Control in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control operations. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while working with a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the technology-focused facility, including exterior areas, parking locations, entrances, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
Complete detailed daily activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
