As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Customer Relations in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a public school location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report observations using available technology. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with adherence to school-entry procedures and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations to school personnel, Allied Universal leadership, and responding public-service agencies as needed.
