Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with security-related inquiries and directions.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the location's protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of the unique hazards and protocols associated with chemical and petrochemical environments while performing assigned duties.
