As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support store teams and shoppers with courteous customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of concerns. Requirements

• Have 1+ years’ law enforcement experience or 2+ years’ security supervisor manager experience or 3+ years’ security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, associates, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, exterior entrances, and parking areas to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspected shoplifting, medical calls, and alarm activations, and coordinate with store leadership and/or local responders as needed.
• Monitor entrances, checkout lanes, and high-theft areas, observe and document suspicious behavior, and help to support loss prevention efforts by reporting concerns through the chain of command.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate site conditions during shift turnover, and help to maintain an orderly environment by providing directions and de-escalation support.
