As a Security Officer Full Time TWIC Credential Control in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers. Requirements

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, contractors, and employees at a logistics and distribution location by following site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Verify identification, credentials, delivery documentation, and authorization before permitting access to designated facilities, yards, docks, and restricted areas.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for vehicles and pedestrians, maintain accurate access logs, and report discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and operational areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
