Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, offices, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and/or authorization as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
