The Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is a southern California escape located at the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, offering a family-friendly atmosphere and home to the Center for Health & Wellbeing. The hotel is seeking a Security Officer who is friendly, professional, and possesses a keen attention to detail. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of guests, employees, and the property, and must be able to respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations while maintaining a calm and supportive presence.

Requirements

At least High School diploma
At least 1+ years of security experience, preferably within Hotels
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to remain calm during challenging situations
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts
Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
CPR/AED/First Aid Certificates preferred
Law enforcement or military experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Assist hotel team with responsibility to ensure the protection of guests, patrons and associates; their property, hotel property, building and grounds.
Enforce hotel rules, regulations and policies as well as the departments rules, policies and standards.
Promote safety awareness and enforcement throughout the hotel to reduce accidents and loss by providing training as required.
Respond to all emergency calls including Emergency Response team calls.
Assist in the Fire Command center when needed.
Patrol building noting and correcting safety, security, and fire hazards.
Implement all policies and procedures regarding security and safety.
Write comprehensive incident reports and conduct thorough investigations.
Maintain report records, assist and follow-up on investigations, and approve reports and logs.
Initiates and assists General liability reports.
Promotes loss prevention through training and awareness throughout the building to reduce claims.
