About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare setting in Brooklyn, New York. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the public by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment. The role involves customer service, incident response, visitor management, access control, and accurate reporting. The posted schedule is Monday and Thursday, 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM. Pay is $17.87–$18.87 per hour.

Requirements

Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Possess a Guard Card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and members of the public while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and exterior perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control, and giving directions.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
