Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in an educational environment.
  • Respond to incidents, campus-related concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and student activity, and/or report suspicious behavior or policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Support daily campus operations by assisting with directions, answering routine questions, and/or helping to maintain an orderly environment through visible presence and professional interaction.
