About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Verification in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
• Monitor entry points, gates, and/or restricted areas to help support authorized access, report unusual activity, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities and preparing clear, timely reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, yards, docks, parking areas, and perimeter locations, observing conditions and reporting maintenance, traffic, and/or security-related issues.
• Operate access control systems, visitor logs, radios, and/or other site equipment used to support daily operations within a fast-paced logistics and distribution location.
