As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to site needs. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents, critical situations, and medical emergencies in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
