About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for patrol vehicle operations at a chemical/petrochemical location in Merrillville, Indiana. The officer will safeguard the client and visitors by conducting regular and random patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and providing customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Must be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and authorized visitors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required logs, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed by established protocols.
Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with company and site reporting requirements.
