Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and restricted spaces to help to deter unauthorized access, support traffic flow, and report maintenance, environmental, and other security-related concerns.
• Assist with de-escalation efforts, provide directions and general assistance, and support client policies involving visitors, deliveries, and after-hours activity.
