As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional service and communication. You will use sound judgment, report concerns, and contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation with Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, medical-related calls, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established procedures.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.
