About The Position

Securitas Security is looking to hire two full time security guards to work at a location in Sidney, NY. Candidates will need to go to the Johnson City, NY office for orientation and/or NYS licensing training. Candidates should also have their own reliable means of transportation as public transport does not operate during the days/hours guard will need to be on site. If you were once a licensed security guard who is now expired please have your guard card reactivated prior to applying as there is a significant delay with those who were once licensed and are not currently active. Please only apply if you are able to work Thursday-Sunday 0600-1400 or Friday through Tuesday 2200-0600. Duties include customer service, report writing, emergency response as well as interior and exterior foot patrols. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
