About The Position
The Security Officer is responsible for policing hospital facilities. This role involves providing security checks at the front entrance, detaining and questioning individuals, and responding to fire alerts. The officer will also monitor Close Circuit TV and must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- N.Y.S. Security Officer License, current
- 8 Hour Annual Security Guard Training Certificate & initial 16 Hour on the Job Security Guard Training Certificate
- N.Y.S. Drivers License
- BCLS via American Heart Association
- Knowledge of CCTV and Radio
Nice To Haves
- Previous law enforcement experience preferred
- Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home setting
