As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Technology in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, providing information, and supporting access-control procedures in accordance with site requirements.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
