About The Position

As a Security Officer supporting a residential community in San Jose, California, you will safeguard clients by conducting routine vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication to help create a welcoming environment for residents and guests. The role requires a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time position with a stated pay rate of $24.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Sunday from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM. Applicants must meet the minimum age requirement, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and undergo applicable background and drug screening. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols through residential common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and resident activity according to site-specific procedures.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to site management or emergency responders as needed.
