Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
Customer service experience is required.
Guard card is required.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions to site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity in accordance with post instructions and security-related requirements.
Support emergency response activities by communicating clearly, assisting with site directions, and documenting incidents, observations, and/or actions taken during the shift.
