As an Access Control Officer at an industrial location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and conduct routine patrols to help maintain a secure environment. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide professional customer service while supporting security-related operations with integrity, reliability, innovation, and teamwork at Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial construction location.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor or contractor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access-control logs and documentation.
  • Control entry and exit of vehicles, materials, and equipment in accordance with site procedures, directing authorized traffic to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, construction areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
