About The Position

The Security Officer II at Kadlec Regional Medical Center performs full performance level technical security protective duties. This includes protecting patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property, and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. The role involves enforcing Kadlec, facility, and security policies and regulations, investigating reports of potential criminal conduct against Kadlec staff, visitors, staff, and property, responding to and assisting in restraining patients, detaining individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer, and providing protective services to high-risk areas. The Security Officer may also be required to support any Providence or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local service area. Requirements

  • Comply with all state laws and requirements for driving, including providing proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request
  • 2 years Law Enforcement/Security/Military/Corrections experience, or related work experience in a healthcare setting, or relevant college coursework deemed important to the job
  • 1 year experience working within the Kadlec Security department, passage of the Security Department SO2 Promotion Test, and the passage of a Security Department administered oral board

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, History, or English
  • Experience in healthcare setting
