As an Unarmed Security Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms as needed. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication to guests and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience are preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, and/or team members while carrying out security-related procedures, hotel policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the hotel and resort location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to guest concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain communication with hotel management, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
