About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government setting, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with the public and team members, and use a computer or tablet to support daily operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government facility by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen individuals and their belongings using authorized screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited or restricted items and follow escalation protocols.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous presence at assigned entry points; provide directions, answer general questions, and communicate access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and document relevant details.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the facility perimeter, reporting unusual conditions, access concerns, or maintenance issues.
