As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital - Overnight in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Dispatch Officer in a healthcare setting, you will coordinate communications, monitor incoming calls and alarms, document incidents, and dispatch appropriate personnel to support timely responses. Your professionalism and customer service will help maintain an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Tuberculosis testing and MMR vaccinations are required for COLA DPSS/DHS.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for assistance, alarms, incidents, and routine service requests to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor communications systems, access points, and available surveillance equipment; document activity and maintain accurate incident and dispatch logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with medical personnel, emergency responders, and site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
