About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a Museum in Boston MA. As a Security Officer in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for visitors, staff, and guests. You will communicate professionally, respond to routine concerns, and represent Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork and attentive service.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, artists, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibition spaces, public areas, offices, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
Monitor access points, visitor flow, and restricted areas; verify credentials as required and help to deter unauthorized entry.
Observe museum property, exhibits, and facility conditions, document incidents or concerns, and complete required reports.
