Security Officer Part Time Driving Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a driving patrol role at a utilities location in Boonton, New Jersey. The officer will primarily drive throughout assigned areas and conduct routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. The role supports a secure environment through attentive observation, clear communication, and customer-focused service. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour. Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations; required licenses may need to be obtained before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and take part in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facility buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required activity logs and incident reports.
- Observe site operations and report damaged barriers, unsecured access points, hazards, and other concerns according to site procedures.
