As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Xray Screener in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, personal items, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in support of established access control and inspection procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain required logs, and report unusual activity, policy concerns, and/or screening exceptions to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using clear communication and following post instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter while observing for conditions that could help to deter unauthorized access and/or operational disruptions.
