Requirements

  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare government facility.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and compliance with facility entry requirements.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency personnel as needed.
